DJ STROBE

DJ Strobe has released over a dozen commercially available mix CDs. He has a weekly mix show on iPartyRadio and Apple iTunes Radio’s Electronic station called “Journeys in Electro House” and a successful podcast on Apple iTunes. He helps out with the Red Bull Music Academy info sessions in Pittsburgh, and strives to help those who want to learn the art of music production and DJing as much as he can. DJ Stobe keeps releasing original productions and remixes, he started a record label called Strobotic Recordings, and after 4 years at Firehouse, now holds a Saturday night residency at STATIC, Pittsburgh’s only all electronic music large format nightclub, spinning the best house music from around the globe

Moving from the early years of hard core to the industrial sounds of the early 90′s. Erik’s first real experience with EDM was Underworld’s Dubnobass in 94′. The melodic goodness and driving bass lines were instantly attractive. Crowd Control was formed in KC around 98′ with a tight group, throwing their first party in 99′ “City of Groove” and Co-hosting “Goodtimes” in 2000. At the end of 2000 Erik & Andrew Emil moved to Chicago and started Four Play Music. Four Play Music has had 9+ releases and has been on Billboard top 100 three times. Four Play Music has hosted events in Chicago, Portland, KC, Miami and Detroit, as well as four separate residencies in Chicago. After moving to Pittsburgh in 2008 Erik has played along side the likes of Hank D, Trevor Lamont and Pete Moss. Erik G is a dark deep tech house style and vocal inspired music with bass lines that make your hair shake.

JOSE BEC

Since arriving in Pittsburgh, Jose has refined his mixing techniques by immersing himself in the Pittsburgh and International “Underground” scene. He has built on what he used to mix in Mexico and forged his own non-commercial style. His influences on the decks are mixture of european techno, minimal, Tech house, and house from Chicago and NY. Jose Bec spins at private parties and events sharing decks with Humanaut, one of the most respectful crew in the city, also in clubs and bars in the Steel City. He now wants to share with Mexico his new-found style and widen his reach in the electronic music scene.
