After seven albums and a career spanning over a decade, My Morning Jacket is still a force to be reckoned with on the indie circuit. Their explosive shows are the stuff of legend, as their 2008 Bonnaroo 4-hour headlining performance has gone down as one of that festival’s greatest. They might have just been here last summer, but we don’t see anyone complaining. They’re the type of band you can see each year and still get something out of, whether you’re a casual or die hard fan. This visit, however, brings us a powerhouse lineup, as Seattle natives Band of Horses have joined MMJ on this tour and present a just as tempting, if not more enticing offer, as they haven’t been to Pittsburgh since I became a fan many years ago. If you haven’t had a chance to see either of these bands live, now’s your shot. With one of the only remaining outdoor shows on Stage AE‘s summer lineup, if you consider yourself an indie music fan, there’s simply no excuse not to attend.
My Morning Jacket just released a new video which features Zach Galifianakis as the wizard. Peep it below:
Band of Horses is set to release a brand new album, Mirage Rock, on September 18. Peep one of their new tracks below:
